The St Pius School Library is housed within the Mary Mackillop Centre which was officially opened in 2010. Every week the students visit the Library for a literacy based learning experience and to individually borrow. A positive culture of recreational reading is strongly evident at St Pius. Every student is required to borrow at least one book every week and as a consequence must therefore always have a library bag to borrow. The library is also open at lunch times where a range of student led activities take place (board games, reading clubs, makerspace, Lego, drawing etc.). We have a vibrant and current collection to stimulate student interest. Each student’s individual reading development is central to the Library philosophy.
