Year 6 Visit to Mercy Aged Care - Mary Damien Centre

The students at St Pius School have been invited to the Mercy Aged Care Facility to spend some time with the residents. As action for justice is integral to Christian vocation, each year level from Years 3-6 will visit the facility at some stage throughout the year. The students have previously visited the Emmaus Centre. This is a similar centre next door to Emmaus.

Giving back to the wider local community is important to our Catholic ethos as it enables the students to reach out in a practical way by contributing to the wellbeing of others. It is both beneficial for the students and the residents alike as the two very different generations enjoy each other’s company. We look forward to our visit on Monday.
