We are very fortunate to have a number of people who volunteer to help out in various ways at St Pius. Due to a legislative requirement, it is now mandatory that all volunteers (including parents of St Pius students) undergo student protection training. Brisbane Catholic Education has developed a training package to help facilitate this process.
As a volunteer, you are required to read the online handbook. Please also print and sign the appropriate page and return the 'Volunteer and Other Personnel Registration Form' to the front office.
Your name will then be added to a central St Pius volunteer register. Hence, you need to participate in this process yearly regardless of the various volunteer activities you may engage in.
Before continuing in your volunteer capacity, you must comply with the legislative requirement. Please ensure you complete the online training that is accessable via clicking on the Student Protection and Code of Conduct Training for Volunteers and Other Personnel.
All volunteers must sign in and out of the front office when working in the school. A sign in/out book is located in the front foyer of the Office, along with volunteer labels. Please remember to sign in via the Office before moving to other areas of the school.
Please also note, that anyone other than a parent, including Grandparents will need a volunteer blue card to Volunteer at St Pius. These can be obtained for free via complething the following Volunteer Blue Card Application Form.
